She had gone camping before with her family, but more often than not, she had built small forts down by the stream near her home. She chose a white tent fabric, some poles, and thick wire to start. She looked around for what could be considered a good spot. Everyone was pitching their tents on the ground...but she was feeling a little adventurous...creative...She decided to try something that her and one of her brothers had always wanted to do - pitched a tent suspended in the air.

First task was putting the tent together - that wasn't a problem and she soon had the usual triangular shaped tent put together. She looked around and found a nice sturdy tree nearby. If she knew any magic, it would make things much quicker, but seeing as she was just a first year and the only magic she had had time to practice in the classroom was Pingo, she knew she had work ahead of her. First, she took off her shoes and was glad that she had decided to wear black pants today instead of the usual black skirt. She then climbed the tree holding some of the thick rope and wire between her teeth. She tied several knots to the tree's limb and then looked down at the tent that was resting on the ground...how was she going to get that up here?

She then remembered a spell that her brother had practiced a little with her before she came to Hogwarts that could possible be of assistance. She took out her wand and pointing at the tent and in as clear a voice as she could muster said, "Wingardium Leviosa" and secretly prepared for the worst. BUT! The tent slowly began to rise as was soon within reach for her to tie it to the tree. Very pleased with herself, she tied a few more knots using what was left of the rope and wire before climbing down the tree to examine her work. It looks like a wet tissue hanging from the tree. Now, that just wouldn't do! Kurumi scratched her head for a moment trying to figure out what to do next. She went back over to the supplies and found some very sturdy looking stakes and took a few of those back to her wet tissue tent. Sticking 4 of the stakes in the ground, she then uses the rest of her rope and wire to ties the 4 corners of the base of her tent to them. Now it didn't look like a wet tissue. Kurumi stepped back to look at her work and thought about climbing in it to test how sturdy it was, when she realized that the tent was a little too high up for her to just jump into. She scratched her head again and looked back at the supplies. Boxes! Of course!

She ran back and took several boxes and brought them back to her suspended tent. She then stacked them so they made a sort of staircase leading up to her tent. Yes, this would do. She tested the stairs first and found she had done a good stacking job and was able to make it up to the entrance to her tent where she then unzipped the front and climbed inside. It felt a little like walking on water bed, but she could stand in it no problem. She then climbed back out and saw the mismatch of colors - brown and yellow boxes with a white tent. Deciding to try the magic she had just learned in Defense Against the Dark Arts, Kurumi pointed her wand at the stairs first and said, "Pingo Violet" and violet sparkles began to shoot out of her wand dying the stairs a deep purple. She then looked up at the tent and decided that a nice sunset them would be nice and painted it accordingly using magic. Kurumi's eyes were bugging out of her head as she saw that she was able to perform magic and not destroy anything. Now with her tent completed, she climbed the make-shift stairs and sat in the tent's entrance waiting for the professor's next instructions.

SPOILER!!: picture

Cassandra noticed Kurumi by a tree with her purple tent already all set up. "Kurumi! Kurumi!" She called to the girl as she ran towards her with her arms filled with the things that she would need to set up her makeshift camp.
