Rubiey had been arguing with herself about writing to her mother for the past week. She wasn't sure if she'd want to hear from her; she hated magic, afterall, and Rubiey knew she'd be angry if her new Husband John saw the owl deliever the letter. But Rubiey missed her. Alot. Which was wierd, because they had never been close, and it wasn't as if she hadn't been away from home before; 4 years at a Muggle Boarding School was not easy.
But she had decided that she would write, and get Gabilan to put the letter through the letter box, so it looked as if it had been posted through normally.
She felt a flutter of wind, and looked up; Gabilan hand landed infront of her and pecked her hand affectionately.
"Hey boy." She said softly, stroking his black head.
"Take this home, but make sure you post it the normal way, so it doesn't look magicy. Hang around for a bit; if you hear your name, bring back the letter for me." She looked into his big green eyes. He understood.
"Have a safe flight." She said, and watched him fly out of the window, until he was out of sight.
