Now that she was in her second year at Hogwarts, Klaudette had known to bring extra play things with her to school this year. One of these was her muggle toy called a skip-it. All you had to do was swing your foot around that had the skip-it on it, and hop over it with the other foot, creating hours of fun.
Now Klaudette was throughly enjoying the rainy day as she skipped and hopped through the fourth floor corridor. She came to the end of the hall and saw a boy she always recognized looking at his tie, trying to fix it. Going up to him, she bent down so that her head was below his head level and when he looked from finishing his business he would hopefully see her. Lukas had screwed up his face in concentration, trying to remember the instructions he had received. Long over short. Tuck behind. Around and around. Tuck in front. Yes! The tie was tied!
Then a face loomed up in front of him. He jumped about six inches into the air with a surprised yell, "Klaudette!" Firmly back on the ground and firmly clutching his heart which had performed a similar leap he managed a smile. "I was looking for you," he said weakly. |
