Honestly, Kel was more than a little scared as he stepped unceremoniously over the age line. He stood in front of the goblet for a long while, before dropping a piece of parchment into the flames.
He watched as the scrap fell into the goblet, and then backed away from it. Once he was back across the age line, a half smile stretched his lips, slightly lopsided. Well, it was done. Now, he would be the champion, or not. Honestly, he didn't know which one he hoped for more. But, at least he gave it a go.
Emma saw an older boy enter his name. She turned to David. "Be back in a minute." she said and smiled at him. She walked over to this guy.
"Hey! Just wanted to say good luck." she said, giving him a friendly smile. "I don't think we've met before. I'm Emma." She gave him a smile.
