David, while smiling, walked in with the piece of parchment in his hand. He had written his name on it and strode confidently towards the cup to put his name in. He was ready for this. He was so ready for this. He hoped he got in.
Once putting his name in, he walked over to Emma, still pretty confident. "Hey." he said, with a grin. "What are you reading?" he asked, taking a seat by her. Maybe they'd see some more people.
Emma looked up and saw David taking a seat next to her. "Hey. Uhh.. Just a regular book. You know.." she explained. She flipped the front cover to show him. He'd probably tease her about this for the next few days.. maybe even for the rest of the year.
