"I will see you soon, Miss Emmaleigh Swynford." Either at class...or making sure she did indeed take good care of the animals.

But the professor was new, and Lori liked new people and she had a basket filled with treat boxes for the new professors. Might as well get acquainted.

"Miss? What can I help you with?" They needed to carry visible name tags. Maya didn't like to be called 'Hey you' or 'You there', and she was pretty sure the students wouldn't appreciate that either.
