Okay. Ellie was taken aback by this girl, just jumping in while they were having a conversation like that. And by her comment. Mostly the comment, though. And you could tell that she was... well... taken aback, too. Her face showed it. Yet, she blushed all the same. And that memory she had pushed out during the summer, came back crystal clear.
She gave JD a LOOK. A look that most definitely said, 'whyyyy is she saying this'. And sort of said, 'what did you do'.
She nodded. He didn't say anything. Right. She believed him, though. He was honest enough.
