Perhaps the Durmstrang Headmaster. Yeah, that one looks like he'd had a beard or two in his lifetime.
He eyed the older Ravenclaw...wait...the only Ravenclaw there, "You wouldn't?" well, that was odd, "Eternal glory and all that stuff doesn't attract you?" it kind of did attract the young Lockhart. He was, after all, going to be Aaron's representative when Aaron ruled the world.
He couldn't help to laugh, though, at the Ravenclaw's comments, "You're funny" yes, thanks for stating the obvious Treyen.
His eyes went back to Arya, "But, wouldn't you like to know what will happen to the ones who aren't old enough?" he asked, slightly puzzled, because he would like to know...not try, just know. He didn't want to end up with a tail.
But his eyes couldn't believe what just happened. Fletch had entered his name! Fletch! Sir Fletcher! Sir Sticky Beard! --Hey! That was someone he could ask about that beard thing without having to threat his own life with the other Headmaster, the scary looking one. Except...he could also be in danger around Fletcher. Eh, well, he better not get chosen, the older Hufflepuff knows nothing of history. "A Hufflepuff died in the tournament" he pointed out, mostly to Arya. The boy named Cedric from where Harry Potter won at the expenses of a Huffie boy.
Treyen smiled at the Gryffindor boy, "You're welcome..." the Huffie frowned, "...I...don't know your name" but he could be Gryffie boy. No matter. Quote:

Tilting her head to the side, she watched as another person put their name into the cup. "I would like to see what would happen, but I don't think anyone will try." She wanted to see the beard though, it had to be really long. Maybe even touching the ground.
Arya ran her fingers through the side of her hair when Kellen poked her and glanced up at him with a slight frown. "I don't want him to loose a limb either." One armed hugs just weren't the same. Was he trying to be funny about the dragon thing? He wasn't, she knew just how dangerous they were.
SEE!?
Treyen knew what she was talking about. "....And if a Hufflepuff can get killed so can you." Cause puffs where awesome. She heard about the boy that died in the last tournament with Harry Potter. Stories man, she had heard lots. "Most of them don't go to Hogwarts." She said pointedly. The fact that they were at Hogwarts made all the difference. Strange things happened in this castle, he should know that. Quote:

His voice trailed off as he heard Sabel's tone to Arya, and fixed his friend with a scrutinizing look. He wasn't going to ask it, not right here, but Kellen was giving Sabel the 'I'm on to you, something's up' face.
He forced himself to be distracted by the young Puff's words, "Of course it attracts me, but I've learned that there's more than one way to get it. This... is not my way." Simple as that. And then he grinned, "Why thank you. I thought so too."
Further distracted from Sabel's expression by Arya's comment, Kellen snorted at her, "No, but it sure confuses and convinces a lot of people."
They were still on about this death thing, and Kellen felt the need for a brief history lesson lest Sabel have a flailing fit and try to pull his name back out again, "Lest we forget, it wasn't the Tournament in and of itself that killed Cedric. Whoever designed the Tournament didn't know that the cup would be charmed into a Portkey. That's like saying no one should play Quidditch in case a dementor gets onto the field. You can't predict things like that."
Feeling the need to lighten the air a little, Kellen ruffled Sabel's hair, "Besides, the Goblet will probably sense Sabel's tendency to trip over his own two feet and relegate him to the bleachers with the rest of us." Quote:

Turning the little slip of paper over in his hands, Raiden stared at it, his own name neatly printed on one side. The 'Hogwarts 7th Year' written just beneath it looked as oddly out of place as he felt. People had had polar reactions to him suggesting he might do this very thing. There had been encouragement from some, and just flat-out "Dear Merlin, what the hell is wrong with you" from others. He understood both sides.
On one hand, he was an adult now. He'd proved himself capable of being such. He knew what responsibility was, and he knew the repercussions of trying to get around it. But on the other hand, he was also still young, and sometimes felt woefully incompetent at some things. And what if this proved to be one of those things?
Eyes flicked to Sabel and Kellen, at least one of which he knew would do exactly what he was considering doing right now. Sabel had that 'Gryffindor courage' in extreme. Kellen... Kellen wouldn't. He was too cautious and uninclined to do it.
Stuck. Stuck. His eyes settled on Arya, and he didn't realise he was staring at her as he stood there, brain sorting through this.
Should he?
Should he not? He was glad Kellen was there, to keep him from dipping too far into his sour and distant mood. He didn't want to discuss life and death right now. Maybe some excitement about the challenges that would be presented in the tournament, something to get his mind off the topic of mortality, but only Kellen seemed game for that. He gave his friend a small smile at the jab at his clumsiness. "Unfortunately, you did not design the cup, so I do not believe it would have such intelligence to do such a thing."
His eyes flicked to the other kid as he ducked his head a little from Kellen's rougher hand. They had forgotten introductions. "Sabel Dakest. This is Kellen Stern, Arya Lovegoods and Raiden Kururugi." Aka the boy staring at Arya looking about as nervous as those kids fearing growing a beard if they stepped over the line. He spared a small wave at the older boy, hoping that his pain was masked enough that Raiden's undying perception wouldn't find it. "Long time no see, stranger."
