Roe had been so busy eating that she had not become aware of her surroundings. She was shocked to see another girl offering her a plate of chicken and she blushed bright red.

"Um, well, erm, I'm sorry I didn't see you there," she said with a red face. What must the girl think of her, she thought. However, she recovered quickly. "I mean thank you. I look like a right pig, don't I, eating like this?" she gestured at her plate. "My name is Roe, by the way," she smiled.
