Oo! An exciting first year. Cool. "Nice to meet you Lil." She beamed up at the girl. "Did you always want to be at Ravenclaw then?" She asked taking a bite of her dinner, "I always wanted to be a Ravvie. I love reading, science and things like this." She said.
"So, is it your first time in the wizarding world?" The curiousity was tugging, "I mean are you muggle born or not?" She added chuckling.
Wha..? Was that an answer? Her room? "Your room?" She said with false enthusiasm, "Wha! I would definitely lose my notebook if I put it in my room. No doubt." She chuckled shaking her head. She poured another glass of pumpkin juice, this thing was awesome! And helped her to stay cool.
"I hope so." Louisa replied to the new girl. She was not very old, just close to her age. But something about her eyes made Louisa feel... something fishy. She didn't judge the girl. Not too soon. Let's hope she's...
And BANG! The worse has happened! A cup of juice was spilled over Enya. Like hell has just visited them. Closing her eyes instantly and moving away slightly from the Enya, Louisa smirked, "I.. I think it's a good omen. Spilling juice over someone." Ouch! That even sounded lame. Her eyes flashed with anxiety at what would happen. Carin glanced up at Louisa when she made the comment about it being a good omen. She felt almost sorry for the first year - any words of comfort offered to someone like Enya at that point would trigger a huge tantrum. Turning to Enya, Carin saw that her prediction was correct. Her she was staring at her while she was talking to Skye, how rude! Enya turned her head away from the girl to continue to talk to her friends. If they thought her as one. But she still felt the girl's eye's boring into her's. Angry now she shot the girl a look. "What?" She asked rudely, would she ever stop staring. But after a few more minutes she pushed the girl to the back of her mind. Ignoring her while she spoke to her friends. The topic at the moment was family, something she didn't like to talk about. Enya was about to comment again about family when she piped up. Carin's voice was annoying! She turned her gaze to the girl and glared. "What if i don't want to" She asked stiffly. She would NOT tell them all about her life outside school. NO WAY! And only Louisa knew because of her stupid mouth. "All you need to know is that im English, my parents are English" She added ending the conversation.
After that the conversation got back to normal, she hoped the subject of family wouldn't come up agian. She breath after a few minutes, not realising she had been holding it in. Enya turned to talk to her friends, other then Carin. Maybe someday she'd warm to her, though she doubted it very much. It couldn't help to think. Everything was going alright, they all seemed to get though the meal without a accident/drama. She was even beginning to warm to the girls, smile a little bit. The Carin did the unspeakable....
Enya hadn't seen the juice jug, if she had she would have jumped away. All she saw was Carin picking it up from the corner of her eyes. She was ignoring her, but still keeping a eye on her. She didn't trust the girl. But the juice jug she hadn't been eyeing, i mean who would use that to destory one's dinner? Oh yeah Carin. Enya had been minding her oen buisness, talking, smiling a little.
But she suddenly felt something went on her front, her robes and her clothes underneath. She looked down curious to see a HUGE wet patch of pumpkin juice all over her clothes. Her mouth dropped open, shotting her head up she saw Carin holding the empty jug. She dropped the curterly she had been holding moments before. Her temper flaring.
It took her a few moments for her thoughts to gather what had happened, then she flipped. She was so angry. Enya stood up, pushing her plate and goblet away from her with such force the goblet fell on the floor. She didn't care. She was glaring deathly at Carin. "You did that on purpose" She declared, trying to keep her voice down. She came close to hitting the girl. But didn't, that wouldn't be good. But when the girl tried helping her to clean up she pulled the napkins out of her hand and threw them on the table. "HOW COULD YOU!?" She shouted at the girl. Breathing deeply. From somewhere next to her she heard Louisa saying something about it being a omen. For this!? Dirty wet robes. No this was no omen, this was a evil act. Before she knew it she had turned on Louisa. "OMEN!? OMEN!?" She shouted, not caring who heard, "You call this a omen Louisa" She said pointing at her robes. She glared at everyone around her, she was really angry now, and there was no way to calm her down. She came close to hitting Carin, but didn't, there were better time's and places for that. But she declared she would pay for what she did, heaven forbid she would pay.... "Hey, there's no need to get mad at Louisa, she didn't do anything wrong apart from try to be nice to you!" Carin burst out angrily, dropping the napkins she'd been holding.
She hadn't exactly planned on spilling the juice onto Enya, but she didn't really stop her fingers from slipping either. To be fair, the girl did deserve it, what with her superior attitude and airs. Not to mention her rude response to Carin's question about her - so she didn't want to talk about her family, big deal. Carin knew exactly what the girl felt like, she didn't like talking about her family either. But that did not mean she had to snap at everyone around either. "And I didn't do it on purpose, the jug really did slip, but I might as well have because you certainly deserve it!" she added in response to Enya's accusation.
She was also standing up at this point, and she realized that they were probably making quite a spectacle of themselves, standing opposite each other at the Ravenclaw table and yelling at one another. Oh, well, better out than in, Carin thought. No use in bottling up her emotions; she'd always feel better after throwing a tantrum as a kid, and this situation was not much different, really.
Carin could see that Enya was close to hitting her, but she stood her ground. If it came to a fight, she was pretty good. Besides, she glanced at the table and noticed a full plat of crumpets close at hand; good, she had ammunition if need be. Or maybe... "You know what, let's not argue, I really am sorry. Here, let me help," Carin took out her wand and, before Enya could react, pointed it at the other girl's robes. Scourgify."
The wet patch disappeared and Enya's robes were as good as new. Smiling her best I'm-nice-and-innocent smile, Carin made a mock bow in Enya's direction, her hand, still holding her wand, sweeping out and accidentally catching the plate of crumpets, her sleeve sending a few top ones flying...
...straight at Enya, of course. "Oh, my, I am clumsy today, aren't I?" Carin exclaimed, feigning horror, but dancing gleefully in the in the privacy of her own mind. Her housemate got exactly what she deserved. "Would you like me to help clean that up too?"
