Emmaleigh Swynford patiently waited in line to try on the sorting hat. It was big and old, and really dirty looking, but none of that bothered Em. She was just nervous, nervous about being up in front of the whole school. What if the Sorting hat placed her and Scarlett in different houses?
Onec it was her turn, Em walked carefully to the stool where the hat was. She did not want her usual clumsy self to fall in front of everyone. She sat down, and placed the hat on her head. It began to wisper in her ear. “Hmm, you seek adventure, a Gryffindor trait if I ever saw one. And yet, Knowledge is easily yours, perfect for a Ravenclaw. But, yes, look at that, a kind heart, and loyal too, traits that belong to Hufflepuffs.. Which house for you, which house,” it kept whispering. “yes, yes.” It whispered until Em heard it yell
