"To my lifelong doom and suffering." she answered without a hint of sarcasm. Really, Hogwarts was a life of suffering and torture for any kid if one thought about it. Blinking a few times, she noticed that the boy kinda had an intriguing dark look about him, which probably was the main reason of her staring. Forget the conversation, or what little bit of it there was, she was too busy keeping her hands away from fixing her already perfect hair.
Pfft. Darn these teen years! Where was Josh when she needed him, hmm!? "And...you?"
So it
was the pretty girl who spoke. Good! Because he sure didnt want to carry a conversation with a cat, in front of a pretty girl no less. It would be worse than asking for help to fix a holster.
His lips parted to respond, then paused,
Wait did she say?..... he wondered as his eyes darted out the window at the speeding countryside. His eyes shifted at the girl and back at the window, starting to get the nervous feeling that he may be on the
wrong train. His mind raced to recall the events of that morning
Wait... so I was about to hop into Hogwarts Express that much I'm sure. Finch called after me... got my wand... and I hopped back into the train... a train. It was the Hogwarts Express wasnt it? How many other trains could there be???!?!?!
He raised a finger at the girl to give him a minute and rushed to the window. There was nothing to give him any sense of direction or clues as to where they were headed, just endless scenery of picturesque countryside.
Finally he turned around clasping his hands on the windowsill behind him. It dawned on him that he was on a train full of naughty kids rushing to..... doom and suffering! This is train where they turn those naughty kids into donkeys!!!
"Uhm.... " he mumbled, his cool and confident exterior slipping slowly
".....I'm supposed to go to Hogwarts." he responded looking at the other girl's eyes, wondering if the name would register. If he would read the slightest indication that they were headed to Donkeyland, at least he was already by the window ready to jump out.
