Rubiey ran through the barrier, tensed for the collision that never came. She opened her eyes timidly, and saw steam everywhere, and a bright red train infront of her. What seemed to be millions of people were milling around on the platform, but Rubiey wanted to get a seat somewhere. It didn't help she knew practically nobody. Her mother had not wanted to come to the station with her; she chose instead to go out with her boyfriend. Typical.
Rubiey heaved her heavy trunk, and cage with her beautiful black owl, Gabilan inside, hooting serenely at passers-by. She struggled to pull it onto the train. Damn it, its too heavy. Rubiey started to panic. If she didn't get on the train soon, she'd miss it completely. HELP.
