Sage couldn't help it. He winced ever so slightly. He just wasn't very good at getting ... you know, his point across. He was just too timid. He'd tried to tell Hecate it was just dinner.. but no. She wasn't having it. Moonlit strolls and ugh.
He didn't much fancy walking around the grounds with Hecate after dark. And the more Hecate spoke of their plans - well, HER plans - the more Lexi was giving him those looks. He didn't like it one bit.
The Herbology professor was just about to have another of his freak outs and maybe even start hyperventilating when he heard another voice and whipped his head around. "Not interrupting at all!" Sage exclaimed quickly, not wanting Preston to leave. Perhaps the Transfiguration professor could save him. "We were just congratulating Lexi on her new Head of House position."
