Hello Emily.

Everyone had on their new sweaters too, well, all but Fleur, who apparently didn’t get one.
This always made me feel so sad for Fleur, but, I got to thinking, did she ever make one for Hermione? I don't remember that she did.

There was a moment’s silence where Emily stared at her brother-in-law. “Merry Christmas, Mother,” Percy said stiffly.
“Oh, Percy!” Mrs. Weasley said as she threw herself at him. Emily vaguely listened as the Minister started talking. She kept glancing at George and Fred and the way they were glaring at their older brother. Emily looked over at Percy, who was standing there awkwardly, staring over everybody’s heads. He looked like he didn’t want to be here at all. Emily studied him and then her husband as the Minister asked for Harry to accompany him for a stroll. Her head snapped to Harry, who finally broke the silence by agreeing.
This part broke my heart in the book, and again with you writing it. What I really enjoyed was the way you made that the background and focused on Emily watching Fred, George, and Ginny too. They had reactions to the visit from Percy that made Emily concerned.

She Apparated him home, since the last time he was mad, his Apparating wasn’t at its best.
Yhis was a really good idea.

“Happy Christmas, Georgie,” Emily whispered as he kissed her collar bone.
“Happy Christmas, Ems,” he said against her neck

So... was that their gift to each other?
Great post Emily. You made a difficult part of the book your own. I'll be watching for your next.
