Brody was scared. She didn’t know what to do. Her parents were going to kill her. She was pregnant before she was even married. She was going to be disowned.

Sitting on the couch, crying, she wanted Torin to hug her and make her feel better. He always managed to make her feel better. And that was why she loved him.

“It will be okay.”

“Will it?” She didn’t think it would ever be okay. “I’m scared...”

“Me too. But I’ll be there with you.” And he hugged her, knowing it would make her better.

“I know you will, baby.”
