"Ok." she murmurs, when Erik had pointed and said not to go near an area. Walking around she looks at the different paintings. Some were fascinating others a little odd, and some well...just plain ugly. She spots a vase nearby that was really pretty. Looking at the around at the little knickknacks, she smiles at the variety of different cultures in them.
Glancing up she notices Erik across the room busy with something else, so she continues looking around some more. Books that looked older then her parents were, she starts squinting trying to make out the titles that were very faded. Thinking back to the mention of his uncle once again, she wonders about him. It sounded a bit estranged.
Hearing Erik's voice again behind her she turns smiling at him. "A few things. I noticed a pretty vase and loved the knickknacks on the shelf over there." she adds nodding.
Smiling as he watched her looked toward where she had been looking. "Ahhh," moving toward her he smiled reaching over and grabbing the vase. "This belonged ta mah grandmother actually." He smiled fondly and looked at it. "When I was little me and mah brother used ta go out ta the fields and get wildflowers fer her, whenever we broke stuff so she wouldn't be mad. She always put them in here." Kind of stupid he knew but it was one of the things he remembered. "When she passed mah dad put this in here." He had remembered that because he had gone with him. "So it wouldn't get broken with two rowdy kids runnin' round the house."
He smiled at her and set it back down. "Funny the things ye remember." He looked around and stuck his fingers in his pockets. "If ye see anythin' ye like yer welcome ta it," lord knew she could put it to better use than he could.
