It might have been a necessary chapter, but it was a great one; you added just enough extras to make JK's ordinary... extraordinary! Well done.

I am truly enjoying the interplay between Draco and Ella, but I think I would've hit him if he'd called me his potion wife; either that, or poured the potion on him...

I also enjoyed the stand-off between Ella and PEEVES! Mind, he kind of backed-off rather quickly and easily. I'm thinking he's afraid of Ella, which is great!

It was shocking to see someone, besides Ron or Harry, actually tell Hermione off for acting above her station. That girl can and does definitely get on people's nerves. I still think she's jealous of Ella's potion abilities!

Lastly, I like the characteristics you were able to bring out in this chapter. Ella is definitely hard-working and determined. The way you brought out Lisa and Angela's very different personalities through their letters to Ella was an inspirational idea, made it much more interesting.
