Brody was really tired. Giving birth was very exhausting, and she hated hospital beds. She just wanted to sleep in her bed.

Torin had been silly to tell her that she should sleep on the way home, now she didn’t want to get out of the car. “Torin, can’t I just sleep here?” But she didn’t know why she was asking him, when she would much rather be in her comfortable bed with him.

“You don’t want to sleep here,” he commented as he took the baby out of the car seat.

“You’re so careful with her, Tor.” She smiled.
