Staring at the man for a moment, Bryce finally put the small vial on the table, letting the silvery substance shine in the dark room. Pulling out his own wand, he conjured another chair so he was able to sit and work at the same time. "5'5"..." he repeated, placing his wand on the desk and rolling up his sleeves before sitting down.
Picking up the block of wood, he scooted a ruler and pencil closer to him as well before wiping his hands on his jeans, his movements purely business like. Just about to pick the ruler and pencil up to measure out the block, his blue-green eyes once again landed on the man as he spoke of family. Why would he want to know of his family? "McLaughlin... sir. Bryce McLaughlin." Now with introductions halfway over, he turned his attention back to his work, a smile playing on his lips.
"If you are talking about a wife and children, then no, I don't have family." He was too busy previously to even look for someone, thanks to the teacher that taught him everything he knew about wands. "Yourself? If I may ask?" He doubted he'd get an answer though.
