Here's my post! Let the games begin
“Will you cut it out, Alicia?” Emily huffed as they made their way down the stairs from their dormitory. Alicia was placing one of Emily’s strands of hair back on the right side of her part.
“I’m bloody capable of fixing my own damn hair, thank you!”
“Well, I’m so sorry for trying to help you out!” Alicia shouted back, her hair turning black. Everyone in the Common Room was watching the two, including Jamie.
“I don’t need help from someone like you!” Emily yelled back.
“Fine!” Alicia shouted as she stormed toward Jamie.
“Fine!” Emily yelled as she swiftly made her way to the Portrait Hole.
Emily went down to the Great Hall and sat at the end of the table. Jamie came in looking moody and solemn and sat beside her.
“Care if I sit here?” he asked quietly.
“As long as your girlfriend comes nowhere near us,” Emily said loudly so people could hear.
“She isn’t my girlfriend anymore,” Jamie said.
Emily turned to look at him.
“How come?” “Well, after you two fought, we got into a fight, and she broke up with me,” Jamie said in a normal voice as eavesdroppers walked by.
“I’m sorry, Jamie,” Emily said quietly. A tear leaked out of Emily’s eye and Jamie caught it with his fingertip.
“Me too,” he said. Emily turned into his side and gave him an awkward hug due to how they were sitting at the table.
“Get your hands off of my girlfriend!” Draco shouted suddenly from the side of the table.
Emily and Jamie broke apart as Draco glowered at them.
“It was just a hug, Draco,” Emily said defensively.
“It’s not what it looked like,” he growled.
“Maybe you should get your eyes checked,” Jamie said sarcastically.
Draco started pulling out his wand but Emily caught his hand, stopping him. She stood up from the table with a cold expression on her face.
“What the bloody hell is your problem?” Emily asked angrily.
“Him at the moment,” Draco replied with disdain.
“I’m getting sick of you being so bloody protective! I’m allowed friends, Malfoy! Stop being so clingy!” Emily shouted at him. Professor McGonagall was coming toward them from the teachers’ table.
“If that’s how you want it!” he yelled back.
“Yeah, that’s how I want it! We’re over, you prat!” she yelled.
“Fine then!” Draco shouted.
“Good!”
Draco turned on his heel and made his way back to his table. Everyone’s eyes glanced between him and Emily as Emily sat back beside Jamie.
“What is going on, Miss Black?” McGonagall asked.
“Nothing anymore,” she replied bitterly.
“Next time, I suggest you take your personal business elsewhere instead of showcasing it in the Great Hall for everyone to see,” McGonagall said curtly before she strode back to her seat.
