It wasn't quite a shriek and not quite a squeal. Nevertheless, the sound that came out of Eleanor's mouth when a man appeared just over the edge of the desk was squeaky and sharp. One hand clasped over her mouth and the other over her heart, her eyes bulged.
"You could scare someone TO DEATH," she said a bit breathlessly, dropping one hand, her heart beat slowing after her initial surprise. Hand still over her heart, she stood blinking for a moment, taking a few deep breaths.
"I certainly hope you have some relaxing vacation options." Merlin.
