Sardines ♥ // Nomsy, yo Tallan smiled at her question; a smile that soon turned into a laugh. Clearly, Brooke knew next-to-nothing about Quidditch. Well, at least she had an idea as to what the Keeper was. "Yes, that'd be me," he told her with a nod, "The guy in front of the big hoop things. I keep the quaffle - the big red ball - from going in. That would mean the other team scored." He was having a hard time keeping a smirk off of his face as he explained this. He hardly ever had to explain Quidditch to people.
When she asked about the Quidditch Cup, he nodded. "Yeah, a few times." he said, his voice quieter. He was quiet for a second, thinking. Weird; Brooke actually had him thinking about this!
He laughed again when she said she didn't 'get' Quidditch. He was about to say he was joking, when she started laughing. She had probably just realized that he had been joking. He just winked at her, chuckling. She was awesome; funny, too. Leigh blinked. Wha-? Oh, of course. James hadn't realized what she'd meant, and how much courage it had taken her to actually say that she liked him. Some times, he could be so thick! When he hugged her, she frowned. He was laughing and rolling his eyes. Nice. "Yeah, of course I do. Best friends. Of course you do." She muttered, ducking out of his hug. For some reason, she didn't want him to hug her right now. She forced a smile onto her face when she looked back at James. "Let's go inside, Jamie." She suggested, her attempt at cheerfullness failing epically. She had no idea what he was thinking, but it was probably along the lines of how she was crazy for wanting him to come outside just so she could tell him that she was his best friend. Which, for the record, was not why she wanted to talk to him alone. But she should've expected that James would've taken her 'really, really' as a best friend type of really, really.
Oh, look. And now, her ice cream was melted. Lovely.
