Everything was going so perfect and then it had ended with her sprinting away from Ling in tears and him falling into the lake like the spaz he was. It was more than stinging, it felt like being sat on by a giant.

"No offense but you make it pretty obvious that you'd rather hang out with him than me." Somewhere in the mix of emotions, that hurt, gutsy statement had shot out from him.
