In addition to Harry Potter and his creator J.K. Rowling, July 31st also marks actor Richard Griffiths' birthday. The renowned Tony-award-winning actor, best known to fans as playing Harry Potter's irritating Muggle uncle, Vernon Dursley, in the film franchise, including the final installments of Deathly Hallows, turns 63 years old today!

Richard has also worked in other such projects as The History Boys (for which he won a Tony), Equus (with Daniel Radcliffe), Ballet Shoes (with Emma Watson), Sleepy Hollow, Gandhi, and The Habit of Art.
