Marie slowly made her way to the middle of the train. Normally she would sit at the back but today she didn't want to run into any of her friends and she was pretty sure they were at the back... like always. So here she was looking for a place to sit somewhere in the middle.

Finally finding a compartment that was empty she went in, put her things down then shut and locked the door behind her. She sat with her back to the door, hugging her legs close to her as she put her chin on her knees. Staring out the window she thought about everything that happened at the feast...

Walking out on Carter (the hardest thing she has ever done in her life)... getting drug back in by Destiny... finding out Professor Truebridge wasn't coming back... trying to convince Professor Lawson to stay... NOT saying goodbye to Professor Lawson (since she WOULD be seeing him over the summer, she would hold him to that shopping trip)... seeing Carter sitting alone at the Gryffindor table... not knowing if she still had a boyfriend.

She closed her eyes as she felt the tears run down her cheeks. The summer hasn't even started and already she wished it was over.

Could things get any worse?
