Besides, Destiny would do it now right?
Nodding at what her friend said about the bezoar though, the Slytherin sat back down on the stool since they had awhile before the next step in their potion and she didn't need to stand to wait for the water to boil. "We can turn up the flame too if that would help." Which, it should. Tapping her fingers quietly on the table as she waited, the third year turned to look up at the clock to see how long it was going to take. It usually took about fifteen to thirty minutes for the water to start boiling depending on the heat it was on. According to the flame they had under theirs though, it looked like it was going to take at least twenty minutes. Aw well, it was better that way. At least for the grass and mint.
Snapping her gaze over to Destiny when she said she saw bubbles, Evelyn peaked into the cauldron to see if that was true. Well, it was true but... "Those things are tiny. We still have like five or ten minutes to wait."
Which, Destiny should write down those steps they've taken. Actually, Evelyn should do that too, just so she could look back later and laugh at her own stupidity or something if they didn't get this potion right. Or praise her smarts if they did get it right. Only time would tell.
Oops.
Destiny knew she was forgetting something, and it was something important.
"I was getting to it." she said, picking up her quill and pulling her notebook closer to herself. Pffft, Evelyn could write it down, too, if she was THAT worried about it, gah. It wasn't her fault she was slightly distracted by the noise that cretin cat was making. It's hard to concentrate!
Ohhhh, Destiny knew why Evelyn wanted to turn the flame up. She just wanted to get her fire fix before they had to douse it. Well, she wasn't going to fall for that trick and risk the chance that the fire would lit her notebook on fire.
"I think the flame is fine as it is." Yeah, it wasn't big enough to catch anything on fire and Evelyn wasn't staring at it like she was hypnotized..yet.
"And it's better to take our time with this. You know, so we don't hurt the cat more than it already is." Pffft.
Bahahaha!!
Tiny bubbles.
Leaning over the cauldron, Destiny glanced at Evelyn,
"Well, I didn't say I saw BIG bubbles." Perhaps next time she'd be more specific. Sitting back in her stool, she starting writing down the steps they took. It'll pass the time at least.
