Tallan was quiet for a moment as he thought about Brooke's question. What was there to do in the Wizarding World? Well, a lot, he guessed. But nothing he could think of seemed particularly appealing. "It'd be cool to be a quidditch player," he decided with a shrug. Anything else he thought of was boring; professor, working at the ministry, stuff like that. "Maybe an auror, too." he added as an afterthought.
He nodded at Brooke's answer. He hadn't thought about being a Healer. But, well, he just didn't seem like the healer type. O_o "I guess we've got a year to figure it all out, eh?" And surely they weren't the only ones that didn't know what they were gonna do for a living.
Leigh's laugh got happier when James poked her. Bahaha. He was blushing again! He was very blushy all of the sudden; Leigh wondered what he was thinking to make him blush like that. She watched him, smiling slightly, as he talked, trying to read his expressions and figure out his thoughts. Usually, she was pretty good at doing that with James. But for some reason, she couldn't now.
Now, Leigh had met James' dad before; a few times. But she'd never spent a lot of time around him, though, mostly - she assumed - because of James' feelings toward him. So, she didn't know how he would act towards one of James' friends, let alone one of his girlfriends. "Maybe you should just leave it." Leigh agreed, frowning slightly.
"So..." she began, suddenly really interested in her ice cream, "You and Annie are really close, huh?" She tried very, very hard to keep her voice light and happy - hopefully James wouldn't notice the slightly sad/hopeful tone.
