Laura smiled at Armen's reaction. It was like he was a kid at heart, getting ready to open a gift. She was pretty much holding her breath as he tore through the paper. Aaaand... ta-da! The little sculpture looked soo spiffy on the corner of his big new desk.
"You're so welcome," Laura said, hugging him back, glad that he liked it. "I thought it would be the perfect thing to represent how well we worked together." It was really a shame that the competition had been cut short. And she wasn't that much of an artist. But, she had found the clay that they had planned on using for the sculpture, dug up the notes and rough sketches they'd worked on together, and put a little time in to make it come out looking pretty good.
Good gracious. More knocking.
"Merlin, you're swamped," Laura said to Armen. "I'll get out of your way now that you have that." She nodded toward the sculpture. She didn't want to take up space in his office when he was having so many visitors.
Armen heard the knocking at first too, pretty low though so he continued to admire his new sculpture givin to him by his friend Luara, YAY!
"Yes we did work together quite well if I may say so myself. Don't tell Theron and Ingird but I thought we were sooo gonna win." he chuckled as he pretended to whisper it to her. Mentioning Theron made him think sadly of how the man had resigned and he was supposed to be getting a new Floo Network Divison Head soon too.
After still more knocking Luara began to stand up mentioning she was going to leave and make room for the others. Yeah it made sense and all but he didn't want her to have to go, but she was being nice to the others as he should probably too.
"Ok well thanks again for the gift, I looove it." he stood up hugging her again.
"Be sure to come back and visit it and me." he laughed and then walked over to the door to let her out and whoever was knocking in.

Stepping up to the door, the blonde pushed her hair over her shoulder and raised a hand to knock. *Knock, knock.*

"About bloody time!" he exclaimed, not caring or even looking to see if there was anyone around him. And he wasn't alone, as a blonde knocked on the door before him. "'Ello, 'ello!" he said as he tipped his hat her way and gave her a dashing smile. "Me name's Andwew 'Atter miss!" he said in his cockney accent.
Oh it was two people. *giggle* He sure was popular today! The first face he saw was of the one of the quieter people in the office.
"Oh hello there Leighton, how are you today?" he grinned, his body framed in the doorway.
Next the Department Head turned his attention to the completely unfamiliar-looking man standing next to Leighton.
"Hello sir, how are you? Might I introduce myself? Armen Recard, Department Head for Magical Transportation." He went to shake the man's hand.
"Please come it." he grinned plesantly.
