OK he needed to settle in to this big office. It was pretty quite compared to the large, open work area just down the hall, but Armen liked being able to have his own space; besides he could leave his toys and things laying around in here. He sat on the edge of his desk looking around his new office proudly when there was a knock on the door. "Visitors already? How exciting!" he hopped off the polished desk and stepped quickly to the door.
Upon opening the large door, Armen came to face two people, first a man he didn't recognize in....strange clothes. They weren't bad per se, but Armen wouldn't be caught wearing them. The man seemed quirky and fun; and then a woman whom he had known for quite some time now, Laura.
"Welcome, welcome, come in!! Take a seat." he said gesturing for them to enter the office. He stood by and let them walk in, the headed to sit in the big chair behind the desk...so COOL! *giggle*
"Umm...nice to meet you Mr..." he said raising his eyebrows as he went to shake the mystery man's hand. He didn't know the guy so maybe he was a new employee...ooh or his replacement, Division Head of Portkeys!! He had wondered who they would get, he must be from the outside at least Armen didn't recognize him as one of his own.
And then there was kind, and sweet Laura who had...brought him a PRESENT!? "Laura good to see you!" he gave her a large genuine grin. "What brings you here today?" he said curiously, his eyes darting at the package and then back to her. He then looked at Laura questioningly to see if he could tell if she knew who this guy was before he answered him.
Laura put on a broad smile as the door opened.
"Thanks, Armen," she said, scuttling inside. She let her eyes wander, taking in the office. It now looked very Armen-like.
Ohh, Armen didn't know who his other visitor was either? Laura peeked at the strange man again, suddenly remembering how she had met her colleague Theron when he was new here in this very office.
Maybe, he's the new Portkey Office division head? she mused.
Taking a seat, Laura carefully set down the package she had brought with her on the table.
"Good to see you too," she said.
"It seems you've settled in nicely." Mr. Armen Department Head Recard's veryyy own office! Teehee. He looked a little strange sitting at the big desk for now. She nearly half expected to see one the past department heads to jump out and tell him to get out of their desk.
"What brings me here today? You can't guess?" She patted the nice clay statuey present thing in front of her. It was wrapped in bright green paper, her favorite color. Because she wasn't really sure what Armen's favorite color was. She gestured for him to open it. She could just imagine his face when he discovered it was the sculpture they had planned on making for the competition!
