Brody hated this lesson. Hated what she had to do right now. It wasn’t fair, and she wanted to leave the room.

But before she had a chance to turn and run, she was faced with her mother’s voice.

“Brody, I’m so disappointed in you.”

“I’m really sorry, mummy...” She had been bad, and it was hard.

And now her father was here as well.

“How could you do this to me and your mother? What happened to the nice pureblood boy we want you to marry?”

“I don’t love him. I love Torin.” A tear ran down her cheek.
