Maddie giggled a little as Sel looked a bit put out. She gave her another hug to make up for it, but made sure to let go before bones were broken.
'Why d'you call it that again?' she said, wondering what the significance of the word 'whatchamacallit' was, and if it was even a word.
'Yes, well, she's my mother. Was my mother.' meh. Is/was no big difference. Her parents had a divorce, and Maddie now lived with her father on the Force Estate. Her mother lived somewhere in London, apparently. Hmm.
'Of course I want to come!' she said excitedly, happy at the prospect of seeing some of her other friends.
