Charmness. This was AWESOME. Hehe.
Miranda listened to the Professor, squinting, and watched how she moved her wand around and shouted that...long incantation. Hmmmm... "Professor?" She raised her hand, "What's the longest incantation known to Wizards...do you know?" Hehehe.
While waiting for an answer, Miranda gripped her wand firmly in her hand and swung the thing around, one full circle to the right and then the same but to the left. "Coloruuuuusssss FULGEOOOOOOO!" Loud and proud and...loud. Hopefully this would help when they later had to actually make things change colors. Hehehe. "Hmm?" Lexi asked, spinning around to face the Hufflepuff Quidditch captain. "Oh, well, let's see...I believe it'd be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." At least, according to Mary Poppins, it was. "Honestly, it's hard to tell. There are so many things you can add to current charms, such as the colors we just added to this one, that it would be hard to say any one incantation is the longest."
Lexi smiled at Miranda as she ever-so-loudly began practicing the incantation. Nothing wrong with a little enthusiasm, nope. Nothing at all. Quote:

"Professor, can you use the same spell to change it to three colors, say, Red, White and Blue?" "Yes, you can. Although, you'd need to completely master just two colors first. Otherwise, you'd have trouble getting the charm to stay in effect for longer than a few seconds," she answered. "Good question, though." Quote:

Point, circle to the right, circle to the left. "Colorus Fulgeo" Point, circle to the right circle to the left. "Colorus Fulgeo"
In his head Patroclus turned the mantra into a song, as he repeated the movement and incantation. "Miss, is it possible to use this on our robes, For example could i say Colorus Fulgeo Black to Gold, and watch as my robes flashed, or does it only work if you do it to paint? Cause how fun would that be!
"This particular charm is the Paint Flashing Charm, so it only works with paint. There are variations of the Color Changing Charm that will do just what you're asking about, though," she answered. "If you're interested in learning more about that charm, feel free to come by my office. I may just teach it during a future lesson, too, though." Quote:

Regardless, she loved charms. She was good at charms. And having a charms class today brightened her day considerably.
Kylie began practicing as the Professor had indicated to do, she'd studied this spell in theory before at her grandmother's house... as she had many other spells. She copied the professor exactly, tapping (in the air, of course, nothing to cast on!) the imaginary color, a circle to the right, a circle to the left... "Colorus Fulgeo orange to yellow." They weren't Hufflepuff colors exactly. But, she really just liked those colors today. Bright. Happy. Open.
Very much like Kylie.
She continued this practice a few more times before raising her hand, "Professor, would it be possible to have a banner change between more than two colors? For instance, if one were to say... 'Colorus Fulgeo red to orange to yellow to green to blue to indigo to violet?'"
Rainbow colors. In order. She was just wondering... "Yes, it's definitely possible. However, in order to use three colors, you need to first master using just two. Then in order to use four colors, you'd need to first master using just three," she explained. "Otherwise, the charm won't be very long-lasting and will likely fade quickly. You can most definitely work your way up to many colors, though." OOC: You may continue practicing the wand movement and incantation for the charm. I'll post again in the morning when I wake up.
