The day had come. Chris had over the past two terms watched as the Head Boy and Girl ran these Study Sessions with the help of himself and the other Prefects but he never would have dreamed he would be one of those Heads one day. He had arrived in the Library early to get set up and to calm his nerves.
He had made a trip down to Honeyduke's the last Hogsmeade visit and had bought a large sample of each of their most popular items for those students who would be attending this study session. Might aswell award them for being studious right? So in the center of each of the mahogany tables was a large basket of every candy you could think of from Ice Mice to licorice wands.
Another thing the Head Boy had prepared for the lesson was on the tabletop infront of each chair. A list of all homework assignments had been put together for them to work on. He thought that they could all use this time to study or do homework. As he went to stand by the front of the room he took a seat on the edge of the front table to wait.

Welcome students of all Houses. My name is Chris Potter, Head Boy and I have te pleasure of hosting the first of TWO Study Sessions in which the other Prefects and I have the opportunity to instruct and help you all out with homework assignments and any school assignments that you may have. You will be able to work individually, with partners, or in groups in order to get the work done and allow for you to meet new people.
All I ask of you in return for this study time and help would be to respect yourselves, each other and your Prefect Session Leaders. So I hope you enjoy a Study Session free of House favoritism and the pressure of earning points (aside from doing your work of course!) and we hope you return to see us in the next one!
