"Lexi...shhhh..." He didn't let her go, but simply rocked her. She wanted to be alone, to hide and whither away to nothing. He wouldn't let that happen, he wouldn't just abandon her, let her believe she was truly alone. "You aren't alone. There are many people that love you. And while Dylan might move away, he will always be there. If you were a bad person, things wouldn't be so." He rubbed her back a bit more. "As for your parents, they don't speak the truth. Don't listen to them and don't let it influence you. You are a beautiful, wonderful young woman. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
