We'll have to wait and see on this. He's probably just thinking of his inadequacy at raising her. He probably thinks he hasn't had the chance to teach her all he wanted to teach her about life. And he doesn't want to think she is big enough to get married. She is still his little girl who he's not ready to be all grown up. But, that's what happens to the best parents in the world. I hope Emily is strong enough to make him see things. He is awful willful at times.

Great post Emily, as usual. You've done a wonderful thing by allowing us to read your talent at writing your wonderful story. I'm just glad there's more for us to read.
