Vianna could hear as Ferris murmured that he couldn't see how it could be possible that this was all his fault rather than her own, going on to ask the girl how it could ever be his fault. But though the young girl heard these words, she didn't really seem to be listening, her attention didn't seem to be on those words. Her attention was elsewhere, on the feel of his lips near her ear, the feel of his voice echoing so softly and close to her ear, it was all far too distracting to let her concentrate on the words he was saying to her. And then, just because she could, and just because the boy was so close, and mostly because she felt a sudden urge to kiss him, the young girl placed her lips on his neck which was conveniently close to allow her to kiss it without having to lean in too much. She kissed it lovingly, a bit eagerly and somewhat distractedly, apparently still too distracted by his presence and gestures to even kiss the boy properly.
