Books and wars? Er... to each his own, Tal supposed. "You just gotta, like, be better than him." Well, that was obvious, wasn't it? "You and Reese are completely different," Another obvious thing. He was good at that; pointing out the obvious, "And so there's got to be some way you're better than Reese. Or like, some way you and Shannon connect better than she does with Reese, ya know what I mean?"
Thank Merlin Tallan never had to go through this. When he liked a girl, he told her. If she didn't like him, he moved on. He was flexible like that. Then again, he'd never had a steady girlfriend... but still. "If you were, uh, having a good conversation, then talk to her again. Make your move, dude. Tell her how ya feel." Tallan was sooo inspirational. He should become a motivational speaker. Or a therapist. Or one of those cool muggle-talk-show dudes.
