The whole day, Jamie refused to look at Alicia. He swapped seats with Harry and Ron in all his lessons where he sat next to Alicia. Hermione spent most of her time trying to keep Alicia calm. Everything seemed to set her off crying. She kept shooting looks at Jamie but he ignored them, preferring to start talking to Harry or Ron.
"
Alicia, just calm down!" Harry said as she burst into tears again. Jamie paused on the stairs before continuing. "
You two are always arguing... This will just pass over and you'll make up like you always do!" Ginny hugged the crying girl.
"
It's okay Alicia... Shh..." She said, looking round the room for the red hair of Emily. She was nowhere to be seen.
"
Emily's gone to meet someone" Hermione said, sitting down on Alicia's other side. Ginny nodded and looked down.
The others tried to calm her down for ages. At about one o'clock in the morning, the portrait hole opened and Emily ran through the room. Alicia sat up and watched her go as footsteps sounded down the stairs.
"
Can we talk? Alone?" Alicia nodded quickly, Ginny squeezed her shoulders before dragging Harry away. Hermione patted the girls' knee before leading Ron away.
Jamie sat opposite her and looked down at his feet. Alicia's lip trembled before she looked up at his face.
"
What is it, Jamie?" She said, her voice was shaking. He looked up at her tear stained face and nodded.
"
Alicia... Ali- I'm so sorry!" He said jumping up and hugging her tightly. She started crying again. "
I take back everything I said! I love you and I need you! I'm so sorry!"
"
Jamie! I'm sorry too! I don't hate you, I don't! I love you too!" She cried, kissing his face and neck as tears poured down her face.
"
Let's put all this behind us... Forget about Malfoy... You and me... Now and forever!" He said and she nodded before she gasped and looked up at him.
"
Malfoy! Emily! I've got to go and speak to Emily!" She said quickly, standing up.
"
I'll wait here for you, babe" Jamie smiled, kissing her before walking over to the others.
"
I'll be right back... Ginny- DON'T HIT HIM!" She said as she ran up the stairs.
