Iris walked back into the Nursery after making her way from Transfiguration, hoping that Hermes would warm up to her a little bit today. She crouched down at his cage and smiled,
"Hey boy, How're you today? Look... I brought you some nice ... dead mice .... for you!" She opened the cage and chu-chuu'd the Kneazle out of the cage.
Hermes came out gingerly, sniffing and investigating to see who’d come to see him. Iris grinned at him
. “C’mere boy.” Eugh … Mice were gross, alive and dead. As Hermes came over to her, Iris put the mouse down on the floor, then rubbed her hands against her coat. Nasty mouse germs. She watched as Hermes looked up at her, and then to the mouse. Slowly, his paw reached out to the mouse, and he rolled the mouse over. Then the Kneazle went to it and sniffed the dead mouse.
Nomnomnom?
Iris pulled a face that showed her disgust as Hermes gobbled up the mouse, happily licking his lips afterwards.
“That’s really gross, you know.” She said to him with a little grin. Hermes started purring.
Heeeyyy, Progress! hehe.
As the kneazle came up to her, Iris scooped the baby kitten up into her hands and held him up to her face, too look at him properly. "You. Are. Simplly. Adorable. *hehe*" Iris gave Hermes a little cuddle and stroked him behind his ears. Iris set him down on her lap, and Hermes looked up at her, wanting to know why he'd be put down.
Iris opened her bag and took out a stick, that had a huge green feather attached to the end of it.
Hermes looked at it, and jumped from Iris' lap, scratching her leg with his claws as he did so. "
Ouch!" Iris dropped the feather toy thing, and Hermes dived at it, happily chomping on the green feathers. Iris looked at him and giggled. She'd be able to fix up the scratch later. She picked up the stick and made shapes in the air with the feather, giggling as Hermes chased and continued to try to catch the feather.
After a while, Iris looked at her watch. Hmpf. It was nearly lunch time. Iris quickly filled Hermes' food and watch bowls, and put away the feather toy. She picked up Hermes and gave him another cuddle.
"I'll come back this evening and see you again, M'kay?" She put Hermes away in his cage, and then locked it shut. She picked up her journal and bag, and decided that she'd fill it in at Lunch, then left the nursery.
