Carter laughed. "No, I have no idea whatsoever. The only dance I've ever done was a rain dance..." he said. Then he laughed nervously. "And I can't believe I just told you that. That is really embarrassing." he said running a hand through his hair.
He looked over at Destiny and Raiden and then chuckled. "Maybe cooties have an expiration date." he joked.
He watched everyone else for a few seconds before stepping right in front of Marie. This was just a simple case of monkey see monkey do. And in this case he was the monkey watching the other ones. And now it was his turn to try it out. He took her right hand in his left hand. He put his right hand on her waist near her back. "Now you're supposed to put your left hand on my shoulder. And follow my steps." he said.
Marie giggled when Carter said he had done a rain dance.
"Really, a rain dance, did it work... did you actually make it rain?" Aww, he was embarrassed.
"You don't have to be embarrassed. Even though it was just a rain dance you have still done more dancing than I have." Yep it's true. Marie had never danced before. She had never felt the urge to dance, especially not to the type of music that was playing now.
Looking back at Destiny and Raiden again she laughed some more before turning back to Carter.
"Aww, I hope your cooties don't expire, I kinda like them," she said teasing him.
Okay, so now it was time to start dancing. She held onto his hand then put her other hand on his shoulder. She looked around to see if that's what everyone else was doing. Yep. Now onto the hard part... actaully moving.
"Why I would be delighted to follow your steps," she said smiling at him thankful she wasn't the one that had to do the leading here.
'Please don't let me step on his feet,' she thought as they started to move.
