Hmm... I found this so out of character for Ron. I guess everyone finally has a breaking point though. I bet he would've been totally shattered if he had hurt Crookshanks by mistake. In saying this, I also think that Ron was never actually going to go over-the-top with his anger. He just wanted to really stress his point with Hermione.

My hat goes off to Ginny in this instant of maturity. She knows how Ron feels about hand-me-downs, but rather than complain for herself, she worries about her parent's feelings and simply refrains from asking for new stuff. This is really something for a 12-year-old, I think. Her goal is simply one of happiness.

I really enjoyed this little tidbit of conversation. It is amazing how we girls tend to never bore of talking about our "beaus". The love, gossip and giggles that Ginny and Hermione constantly share, in terms of Harry and Ron, is hilarious and true to the conversations of young women.

I'm glad you have finally brought a little happiness into Tom/Jim/Crookshank's life. It brings a whole new dimension to his character. The idea that he could be a Daddy is heart-lifting... and by the way... if Tina doesn't take the soon-to-be offered kitten... I will gladly take one or two of them. All I need now are a couple of good names...
