"What I don't get, is how all this magic got into their books in the first place. And how they still think it's "Fantasy"? Where do they think these things come from anyways?" Imagination?! Pfft. You can't imagine a pegasus! Well, you could, but that wasn't the point she was trying to make...
Silently thanking the Gryffindor for changing the subject, since the topic of muggles with her wasn't a good one, she smirked at his tone of voice and folded her arms. He had a good reason for wanting to learn to cook, and she couldn't help but agree with him. It would be nice to learn how to actually cook food to hold dinner parties with friends. Well, for the few friends she had. Her mood however, both perked up and became sullen at the words 'theory' and...'seer'. Seer, was related to Divination stuff. A subject she most certainly did not enjoy. But his reason behind calling her one made her laugh. "I am no seer, believe me, and I was pretty surprised myself about how much cooking were in the lessons here at school. Definitely wasn't...expecting that."
Quickly going over what she had cooked during her time here at Hogwarts and what she cooked over the summer, she found the range of food extremely different from both times. "Well, personally, I like to cook actual food. As in pastas and such. My uncle was teaching me over the summer while we traveled, and even taught me a few dessert recipes such as cookies and cupcakes..." But, "However, I am just not able to remember what we cooked over the summer besides the cookies and...cupcakes. So, I'm stuck baking that instead." It was funny though since she wasn't much of a sweets type of person either. And here she was...baking them. "What about you though. What do you like to cook?" “I think they believe that what we are is impossible, which makes us Impossible cool” Having been around quite a few muggles throughout his life Patroclus had witness their naivety firsthand, however it all boiled down to the fact that they did not want to believe. “Sure, sure not a seer you say, you just don’t want me to know” Patroclus joked, harmlessly teasing Evelyn. In a whisper he muttered, “Don’t worry I won’t tell anyone” finishing his sentences with a wink and a wicked smile. Usually he would not joke with someone is this way, after only just meeting them, but being here with Evelyn he felt really comfortable, as if they had been joking for years. "Myself, besides the obvious cakes, I have a real love for cooking Mexican. I like my food spicy,” it was true Patroclus had a tongue for chili’s and he loved the mixtures of flavors that accompanied Mexican cooking. “Well with your pasta and my Mexican we will have to have a cook-off, best chef wins!” A good contest was always fun, “Do you live with your uncle? You said he was the one who taught you too cook.” Patroclus hoped he wasn’t overstepping his bounds, he meant no offense, he was just really interested in the hazel eyed girl before him. |
