"Well luckily the teachers will never known it happened...i hope," the thought crossed Patroclus' mind 'what if she dobs me in' but quickly pushed it to the side, he had gathered that Evelyn was a rather nice person. He smiled at her as she asked him a question, "Yeah I am a Third, geez am I that unimpressive, that you haven't heard of me" he joked, being Mr Popular was far from how Patroclus was, he was not shy, but diffently not an out there type of guy, "I am mates with Carter, i think he is dating a Slytherin Third year.... its not you is it? Not that i would have a problem with that if you were." He was tripping over himself now, which was unusual for him, he was usual very well spoken.
"Well, that's good." she nodded a small smirk appearing on her face.
"You don't tell anyone about this, and I won't tell the professors and twist the story in any way." Simple as that!
Raising a brow at the third year, her smirk widened when a thought occurred to her, however it disappeared rather quickly into a frown at the mention of Carter dating a Slytherin third year. She would have been insulted that he suggested she was the one dating him if Josh's face hadn't suddenly popped up into her mind. Gotta be nice.
"Oh, umm...no." she said quietly, adjusting her sweater before looking back up to him.
"He's dating my friend, Marie." Gah, he was friends with Carter. That just made the situation slightly worse. Way to go Evelyn! Saving someone who was friends wit-
"You're a Gryffindor I presume?" she asked, having just blurted it out before thinking. What a stupid question. Pfft, of course he was a Gryffindor. Would have to be awfully brave to be friends with Carter.
"No, I know. I'm sorry. You aren't unimpressive. I'm just, oblivious to some...well most people around me."
