Meekaylah ran to the stable first, where the family kept their beautiful horses. Most of the older children had horses, in fact Leenah, Yemayah and Mathyew were the only ones without one. At the moment anyway.
Walking over to her own horse's stable, Meekaylah reached in to give her beautiful Appaloosa the love she much deserved after a school year of loneliness.
"Well hello there, gorgeous," she cooed, as Chaos, her horse, came over and whinnied delightedly.
She wasn't sure what had made her call the horse Chaos; maybe it was because she was wild, only tame for Meekaylah, the girl who trained her and brought her up from a foal.
"I'll be back Chaos," she said, "gotta go check the chickens, and find the sheep and that pesky goat!"
Chaos snorted, and stomped her feet, before walking to the back of the stable and laying down. She whinnied irritably at Meekaylah who was laughing.
"You stubborn girl!"
