But he did give a horrified cry about removing the tails. That was vulgar, even though there was probably a magical way that would mean no pain... crups were made to have TAILS. They were known for forked tails.
Raising his hand with an indignant look on his face, Jake sniffed disapprovingly and said,

True, in his first year, Jake had taken care of a baby crup; he had this subject covered. Lawson knew that.
