Ellie bowed her head. Not in the traditional format? What could that mean? Hopefully not something worse than the 'traditional format'...

"Yes ma'am." Ellie said, making eye contact. She wasn't afraid... much. Not enough to not make eye contact, anyway. It was only polite, right?

She stood there still, though. Unsure if she was dismissed or not. Better be safe and wait for the teacher to say so.
