"I agree, Ms. Todd. We are just here to settle the business relationship to be formed, and our love for the arts...that I'm sure will be delightful to this restaurant." After all, Loraine had learned she was also sort of an artist, with her cooking and stuff.
Just in time, the firewhisky and then the specialty of the day were being served by Blake. "Thank you, Blake. And have a nice evening..." She waved at him and wondered what the boy might do after work. And she also wondered what Faith'd be doing. Lor needed a small favour.
"Enjoy, Ms. Todd." Lor said, pointing to both her plates as she fixed her napkin on her lap. "Then, I guess we'll see your portafolio..." Though, for some reason, Loraine knew it should not be needed anymore. Weird heart things. It seemed that, even with the weird thing that Rhiannon couldn't quite understand, she was managing to get her point across in the meeting with Ms. Jacques. At least, the fact that the other woman seemed in agreement made her feel that way. She was just going to have to ignore the odd feeling that she knew Ms. Jacques before now, and the fleeting memories from her last term at Hogwarts, with Josh and all. Now that they were back in her head, it would be hard, but she could force herself to do anything. And the difference in names helped anyway, since the girl in her memory definitely hadn't been named Loraine Jacques. Blinking as her possible employer spoke, getting herself out of her head again, she smiled. "Of course. Anything I can do to make your lovely cafe even lovelier, however you like to see it," she said. It really seemed like she could get along with Ms. Jacques, which made things easier. Especially in commissioned works. her muse didn't like to show up when she didn't like whoever the artwork was for.
And speaking of arrivals. Rhiannon glanced over as the waiter, identified as Blake, appeared with their food and drinks, and she smiled at him a little before turning her attention back to Ms. Jacques. "Your staff all seem, well, happy to be working here," she observed, a bit idly, as he left again. A change of subject seemed needed, anyway, and since she hadn't started eating quite yet, she couldn't comment on that. It seemed Ms. Jacques knew that as well, though, as the woman indicated their plates and seemed ready to eat, and Rhiannon couldn't help but laugh a little.
"I'm sure I will. It looks delicious," she said, looking down at her late as she unfolded her napkin and spread it across her lap. "I only hope my portfolio matches up to this." Not that she didn't know her work was good, people continually assured her of that. Even before she'd officially gone into art as a profession. Things just still seemed awkward, here. Not bad, just strange.
