"Ah," Truebridge smiled encouragingly. "Some are to do with strength, some are to do with personality, others are indeed to do with the nature of the spell, and some do not have any visible colour at all. Some spells are a certain colour because that was simply how it manifested itself when the original creator made it, and when intent is focused and the spell passed on, then that is the way it continued to be. In other cases, you couldn't change the colour if you tried. In general the hue might be a little different based on the strength of the cast or the caster's personality, but thats about all the difference you'll find." Confusing? Sure. It was advanced magical studies. The sort of thing those who went on to study at University tended to focus on. ooc: I'll leave it here for a bit for the ESTers to catch up. Go ahead and RP practicing the incantation, or the spell or just taking notes, up to you. Emma stood up, after finishing her notes and began practicing Revertoscutum. She cried "Revertoscutum!" and a strong turquoise hue appeared, so this is my colour, thought Emma. She then looked around to see other people practicing with partners, she then asked, "Hey does anyone need a partner?". She hoped someone would reply. |
