"Revertoscutum!" A shield that looked almost like a wall of water, a pale blue-green appeared in front of him and he held it for long enough that the students could see it.

Teegan nodded her head, she had thought Reverto was the spell, but she was annoyed enough at the moment to not answer the question though she knew the answer.

She picked her teal pen up and began writing:

Quote:
Reverto

Incantation: Revertoscutum = re-ver-toe-skew-tum

Produces a shield that looks almost like a wall of pale blue-green water. Wand movement is simple: point.

Truebridge added, "The shield will always appear blueish, though the shade of blue may vary from person to person. Some may be more visible than others, but that isn't an indicator of strength. For now, just practice casting the spell and be careful not to trip over the incantation."

"Ah," Truebridge smiled encouragingly. "Some are to do with strength, some are to do with personality, others are indeed to do with the nature of the spell, and some do not have any visible colour at all. Some spells are a certain colour because that was simply how it manifested itself when the original creator made it, and when intent is focused and the spell passed on, then that is the way it continued to be. In other cases, you couldn't change the colour if you tried. In general the hue might be a little different based on the strength of the cast or the caster's personality, but thats about all the difference you'll find." Confusing? Sure. It was advanced magical studies. The sort of thing those who went on to study at University tended to focus on.

ooc: I'll leave it here for a bit for the ESTers to catch up. Go ahead and RP practicing the incantation, or the spell or just taking notes, up to you.

Teegan nodded her head and put the cap on her teal pen and stood up on the bleachers and at her notebook and pen down where she had been sitting. She pulled her wand out and took a deep breath ready to see if she could do this spell or not...quite positive she could get it the first go.

She held her wand out and pointed just as she had wrote in her notebook. "Revertoscutum!" she exclaimed some what quietly, and there before her was the blue-green shield of water before her, similiar to what Professor Truebridge's looked like when he demonstrated.
